Ramesh Katara posted in Salumbar zone of CID here alleged that the report was leaked and shared with the elements against whom the report was prepared.
"I resigned from duty yesterday and sent my resignation to officers in Udaipur and Jaipur because there was threat to my life. I submitted the confidential report 20 days ago about naxal-related activities in the area to my senior in Udaipur which was to be forwarded to Jaipur but it was leaked in Udaipur," Katara said today.
He suspected that someone posted in Udaipur office leaked the report.
"After that, I got threats so I apprised my seniors about the same and requested them to provide me weapon and security, but my seniors did not cooperate with me, so I decided to resign in the interest of my life and my family," he said.
But the Additional SP CID Udaipur, Parvat Singh has termed Katara's allegation as baseless.

"The allegations is quite baseless and no report was leaked from here," Singh said.
IG-Intelligence Rajesh Nirwan also said in Jaipur that he has no information about the matter.
"I have not received the resignation so far. If there is any case, we will examine and take appropriate step," Nirwan said.
