Almond declines on sluggish demand

Almond prices fell by Rs 100 per 40 kg in the national capital today due to sluggish demand from retailers and stockists amidst adequate stocks.

Almond (gurbandi and girdhi) prices were down by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 8,100-8,200 and Rs 6,100-6,200 per 40 kgs, respectively.

Traders attributed the fall in almond prices to sluggish demand from retailers and stockists amidst adequate stocks.

Following are today's quotations (per 40 kg):

Almond (California) Rs 22,200, Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 8,100-8,200; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 6,100-6,200; Abjosh Afghani Rs 15,000-25,000.

Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 770-790 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 650-740 per kg.
