Almond and its kernel prices drifted at the local dry fruits market today on sluggish domestic and export demand.

Adequate stocks position on increased arrivals from producing regions also put pressure on almond and its kernel prices.

Traders attributed the fall in almond and kernel prices to subdued domestic and exports demand.

In the national capital, almond (California) eased by Rs 100 to Rs 18,400 per 40 kg, while its kernel weakened by Rs 5 to Rs 645-665 per kg, respectively.

However, other dry fruits moved in a narrow range in restricted buying and settled around previous levels.

Following are today's quotations (per 40 kg):

Almond (California) Rs 18,400 Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 8,000-8,200; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 4,600-4,800; Abjosh Afghani Rs 8,000-22,000.

Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 645-665 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 500-540 per kg.
