Almond and its kernel prices firmed up by up to Rs 300 per 40 kg at the wholesale dry fruits market today on increased buying by stockists following uptick in demand from retailers.
However, other dry fruits moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled at last levels.
Marketmen said stockists' buying to meet rising demand from retailers mainly pushed up almond and its kernel prices.
In the national capital, almond (California) rose by Rs 300 to Rs 16,500-16,900 per 40 kg. Its kernel also traded higher by Rs 10 to Rs 595-605 per kg.
