Almond prices eased further by Rs 100 per 40 kg at the wholesale dry fruits market today following low demand from retailers against adequate stocks positions.
However, other dry fruits moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled at previous levels.
Traders said subdued demand from retailers against sufficient stocks positions kept pressure on almond and its kernel prices.
In the national capital, almond (California) quoted lower at Rs 15,000-15,100 instead of Rs 15,000-15,200 per 40 kg.
Almond kernel (California) also shed Rs 5 at Rs 530-540 per kg.
Traders attributed the fall in almond prices to subdued demand from retailers and stockists amid adequate stocks.
