Alok Ranjan appointed anti-corruption official in BHEL

Senior IPS officer Alok Ranjan was today appointed as anti-corruption official in Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) here.

The Appointments Committee of Cabinet has approved Ranjan's appointment as Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), who acts as distant arm of Central Vigilance Commission to check corruption, for a period of three years, an order issued by Personnel Ministry said.

He is a 1991 batch IPS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre.

Forest Service officer Sunita Singh has been appointed as CVO in Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd.

Singh, a 1987 batch IFS officer of Maharashtra cadre, has been appointed to the post for an initial period of three years, the order said.
