Aluminium and copper prices firmed up by Rs 2 per kg on the local non-ferrous base metals market today on stockists buying amid a firming global trend.
Traders said sentiment turned better after aluminum advanced on concern that global supply will be limited on longer delays to take delivery from warehouse and production cuts.
Meanwhile, aluminium for delivery in three months was little changed at 1,831.75 dollar a metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.

In the national capital, aluminium ingot, aluminium sheet cutting, aluminium wire scrap and aluminium utensils scrap were up by Rs 2 each to Rs 148, Rs 149, Rs 151 and Rs 148 per kg respectively.Copper mixed scrap also moved up by Rs 2 to Rs 442 per kg.
