Rising for the third straight day, aluminium prices advanced by 0.06 per cent to Rs 156.70 per kg in futures trading today as speculators increased positions, tracking a firm trend at spot market on soaring demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in June was trading higher by 10 paise, or 0.06 per cent, at Rs 156.70 per kg in business turnover of 137 lots.
However, metal for delivery in far-month July held steady at Rs 156.80 per kg in 3 lots.
Analysts said widening of positions by participants following pick up in demand from consuming industries in the physical market kept aluminium prices higher in futures trade.
