Aluminium prices rose further by 0.62 per cent to Rs 122.60 per kg in futures trading today as speculators engaged in building up positions, driven by rising demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in June traded higher by 75 paise, or 0.62 per cent to Rs 122.60 per kg in a business turnover of 1,748 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in July edged up by 65 paise, or 0.53 per cent to Rs 122.95 per kg in 545 lots.
Analysts said increasing positions by traders due to firm demand from consuming industries in the physical market, kept aluminium prices higher at futures trade.
