Aluminium prices went down by 1.19 per cent to Rs 133.25 per kg in futures trading today as speculators engaged in trimming positions, taking negative cues from the spot market on muted demand from consuming industries.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in December fell by Rs 1.60, or 1.19 per cent, to Rs 133.25 per kg in a business turnover of 1,936 lots.
On similar lines, the metal for delivery in November was trading lower by Rs 1.45, or 1.08 per cent, to Rs 132.85 per kg in 3,760 lots.
Analysts said cutting down of positions by participants on the back of easing demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly kept aluminium prices lower at futures trade.
