Aluminium prices were higher by 0.21 per cent to Rs 121.65 per kg in futures trading today as speculators built up fresh positions, tracking a firm trend at spot market on increased demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in June edged up by 25 paise, or 0.21 per cent to Rs 121.65 per kg in business turnover of 376 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in July was trading higher by 20 paise, or 0.16 per cent to 122.05 per kg in 49 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders, driven by pick up in demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly attributed the rise in aluminium prices at futures trade.
