Aluminium prices traded higher by 0.82 per cent to Rs 111.30 per kg in futures trade today amid a firm trend overseas and pick up in domestic demand at the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in April month rose by 90 paise, or 0.82 per cent, to Rs 111.30 per kg in business turnover of 3,966 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in far-month May contracts moved up by 60 paise, or 0.54 per cent, to Rs 111.50 per kg in 3,088 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in aluminium prices at futures trade to a firm trend overseas and pick up in demand from consuming industries in the spot market.
