Continuing for the third straight day, aluminium prices eased further by 0.21 per cent to Rs 117.30 per kg in futures trade today as participants engaged in trimming their positions, tracking a weak trend at spot market on subdued demand from consuming industries.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in December shed 25 paise, or 0.21 per cent, to Rs 117.30 per kg, in a business turnover of 56 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in January traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 116.85 per kg in one lot.

Market analysts said that offloading of positions by traders, tracking a weak trend at the spot markets due to muted demand from consuming industries, mainly kept aluminium prices lower at futures trade.
