Press Trust of India New Delhi
Aluminium prices edged up by 0.29 per cent to Rs 122.50 per kg in futures trade today as speculators raised bets, driven by pick-up in demand at the spot market.

Aluminium for delivery in July traded higher by 35 paise, or 0.29 per cent, to Rs 122.50 per kg in a business turnover of 230 lots at the Multi Commodity Exchange.

Likewise, the metal for delivery in August edged up by 25 paise, or 0.20 per cent, to Rs 123.15 per kg in 17 lots.

Analysts said widening of positions by participants due to pick up in demand from consuming industries in the spot market mainly influenced aluminium prices at futures trade.
