Aluminium prices were trading higher by 0.36 per cent to Rs 151.75 per kg in futures market today as speculators raised bets, taking positive cues from the spot market on improved demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in May edged up by 55 paise, or 0.36 per cent, to Rs 151.75 per kg in a business turnover of 180 lots.

Likewise, the metal for delivery in April was trading higher by 45 paise, or 0.30 per cent, to Rs 152.45 per kg in 4,167 lots.

Market analysts said raising of positions by traders on uptick in demand in the physical market mainly led to the rise in aluminium prices at futures trade.
