Aluminium prices eased by 0.08 per cent to Rs 124.50 per kg in futures trading today as speculators cut down positions amid sluggish demand from consuming industries at spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in April traded lower by 10 paise, or 0.08 per cent to Rs 124.50 per kg in business turnover of 523 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in May contracts shed 5 paise, or 0.04 per cent, to Rs 124.95 per kg in 82 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by participants owing to slack demand from consuming industries in the spot market, mainly weighed on aluminium prices at futures trade.
