Aluminium prices edged up by 0.07 per cent to Rs 140.75 per kg in futures trade today as speculators raised bets amid pick up in demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in July edged higher by 10 paise, or 0.07 per cent, to Rs 140.75 per kg in a business turnover of 189 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in August traded higher by 5 paise, or 0.04 per cent, to Rs 140.85 per kg in 9 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in aluminum futures to widening of bets by traders on the back of pick up in demand from consuming industries in the physical market.
