Aluminium prices fell by 0.30% to Rs 100.85 per kg in futures trade today after traders reduced their exposure amid muted domestic demand even as the metal strengthened at the London Metal Exchange.

At Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in current month eased 30 paise or 0.30% to Rs 100.85 per kg in a business turnover of 99 lots.

Also, the metal for delivery in January 2016 contracts traded lower by 30 paise or 0.29% to Rs 101.85 per kg in 53 lots.

Marketmen said the weakness in aluminium in futures trade is mostly due to sluggish demand from consuming industries at the domestic market but metal's gain overseas limited the losses.
