Aluminium ingots advance on rising demand

Aluminium ingots advanced at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists' buying amidst rising demand from consuming industries.

Elsewhere, select copper and lead recovered due to renewed demand from industrial users.

While, brass and aluminium utensils eased owing to sluggish demand from industrial users.

Aluminium ingots rose by Rs 13 per kg to Rs 188 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 175 and copper sheet cuttings gained by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 456 as against Rs 452.

Copper armature moved up by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 460 from Rs 457 previously.

Copper utensils and lead edged up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 434 and Rs 167 as against Rs 432 and Rs 165 previously.

 

However, aluminium utensils and brass sheet cuttings slid by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 125 and Rs 354 as compared to Rs 128 and Rs 357 previously.

Brass utensils scrap edged down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 343 from Rs 345.
