An organisation of stake holders in the Aluminium industry today said it has plans to set up a museum on aluminium at Bhubaneswar soon.
Aluminium Association of India (AAI) president T K Chanda said this while addressing the International Museum Day celebration at the Odisha State Museum here.
"Odisha is acclaimed as the Aluminium Capital of India, with abundant resources and production of aluminium....
"On this backdrop, to spread awareness on the history and usage of the strategic metal, Aluminium Association of India has decided to set up an Aluminium Museum in Bhubaneswar," said Chand, also chairman and managing director of state-run aluminium producer NALCO.
Odisha is home to operational units of a number of aluminium producers - government and private, the AAI president said.
The AAI is the apex body representing the entire spectrum of Indian Aluminium Industry - primary producers, downstream manufacturers, end-users and R&D organisations.
