Aluminium slips in a mute trade

Aluminium and copper utensils scrap slipped in an otherwise mute non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists selling amidst lower demand from industrials users.

While, brass prices gained further owing to sustained offtake from consuming industries.

In overseas markets, the industrial metal copper was eyeing a flat close for a second week today, as sluggish apparent demand was offset by hopes of revival in China's struggling property sector later in the year.

Aluminium ingots fell by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 155 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 158.

Copper utensils scrap moved down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 415 as against Rs 417.
 

Aluminium utensils scrap softened by a Re per kg to Rs 127.

Brass utensils scrap moved up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 320 from Rs 318.

Copper sheet cutting and brass sheet cutting edged-up by a Re per kg each to Rs 434 and Rs 328, respectively.
