Alwar Police busts gang of mobile phone thieves

Alwar police today claimed to have busted a gang of mobile phone thieves by arresting four of its members who allegedly stole mobile handsets from a shop here.

After the theft on Saturday night, a special team was formed which arrested Rahul Jaiswal, Sanjeev Singh, Nepali Babu and Vikram Kumar who are the members of an gang having connections in Nepal and other countries, Superintendent of Police Rahul Prakash said.

"They steal expensive handsets and sell them to countries like Nepal.

"There are presently six such gangs which are active in Delhi, Bengaluru, Goa, Mumbai and all the gangs are being operated by the kingpin named Ajay.
 

"116 mobile handsets of various companies have also been recovered from their possession," he said, adding, that the accused are being interrogated.
