Remembering the multifaceted Kishore Kumar on his 88th birth anniversary, melody queen Lata Mangeshkar said even after so many years, she continues to feel his absence till date.
The 87-year-old music icon took to Twitter to pay her tributes on the legendary singer's birthday.
"Namaskar. Kishore Da ki aaj jayanti hai. Wo jitne acche gayak the utne hi acche insaan the. Mujhe Kishore Da ki kami hamesha mehsoos hoti hai. (It is Kishore Da's birth anniversary today. He was as good a singer as he was a human being. I always feel his absence)" Mangeshkar wrote, alongside a picture with Kumar performing at a concert.

"Mera aur Kishore Da ka saath mein ye pehla geet jo humne 1948 mein gaaya tha (Our first song that we had sung in 1948)" Mangeshkar wrote.
The duo have sung some memorable tracks such as "Tere bina zindagi se", "Gaata rahe mera dil", "Jai jai Shiv Shankar" and "Dekha ek khwab", among others.
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan also took to social media to pay homage to his voice onscreen in songs such as "Khaike paan Banaras wala", "Muqaddar ka Sikander" and many more.
"Aug 4, Kishore Kumar's birth anniv, prod, dir, actor, singer, music dir; sang for me 51 films, 130 plus songs, and 60 films I acted in (sic)" he wrote.
Music Vishal Dadlani wrote, "It's the legendary #KishoreKumar's birthday. The Voice. Forever.
