Popular South Indian actress Amala Paul and Tamil film director A L Vijay have got married here today.
Vijay tied the nupital knot with Amala in a grand wedding held as per Hindu traditions.
Dressed in a silk shirt and 'veshti', Vijay tied the 'thali' (mangalsutra) to his long time love Amala Paul, who looked bright in a red silk saree, as friends, relatives and wellwishers showered the 'atchathai' (holy rice to invoke blessings) on them, a release from the actors' representative said.

The wedding held in a marriage hall in upmarket MRC Nagar
was attended by film industry prominents like actors Vikram, Arya, Balaji, 'Crazy' Mohan, music director G V Prakash Kumar, singer Saindhavi, director Manirathnam, Bala and others.
Amala became popular since her Tamil movie 'Myna' and continued her success with 'Deivathirumagal', 'Vettai', 'Thalaiva' among others.
