In April, Bynes allegedly rear-ended a BMW and fled the scene while driving a rental on the 101 Freeway. The LA City Attorney's Office rejected the case because there was no independent witness to finger the actress as the suspect.

But prosecutors are taking a new look at that case because the 26-year-old actress was accused, yet again, of hit-and-run on August 4, reported TMZ.

If the April incident is re-opened, Bynes could end up with two misdemeanour hit-and-runs with each carrying a maximum sentence of six months.

The "She's The Man" star also has a DUI on her plate for another incident. She pled not guilty to that one back in June.
