Singer Amanda Bynes, who is currently on psychiatric treatment at the UCLA Medical Center in California, would most likely be kept there until 2015.

The 27-year-old star's lawyer, Gerald Shargel, appeared in a New York court to settle his client's case for a bong-throwing incident earlier this year.

But Shargel told the judge that Bynes was not fit to stand trial for the reckless endangerment and marijuana possession charges filed against her for the next 18 months. He is working on the charges to be dropped altogether on the condition that the former 'Nickelodeon' star commits to staying out of trouble.

Bynes threw a bong out of the window after cops entered her Manhattan apartment, responding to a call by building managers who reported that the "Easy A" star was smoking pot.

It was only one of a string of incidents over a period of several months where the actress exhibited her erratic behaviour for which she was eventually put under long-term psychiatric care and legal conservatorship.
