Amanda Bynes' Twitter account hacked

Embattled actress Amanda Bynes has fallen victim to cyber criminals after her Twitter blog was hacked while she remains under doctors' care in a psychiatric facility.

The "Hairspray" star was rumoured to have been granted Internet access after a random message reading "I love Drake" popped up on the micro-blogging site in an apparent reference to the rapper she has both praised and savagely criticised in bizarre online rants in recent months, reported Radar online.

However, her attorney, Tamar Armanak, has been quick to set the record straight about the tweet, insisting Bynes has not been allowed to log on since she was hospitalised for mental health issues in July.

"Amanda's Twitter account has been hacked. She is at the Ucla Medical Center with no access to phones or computers," Armanak said.

Bynes was recently transferred to Ucla from a facility in Ventura County, California at the request of her mother Lynne, who was named temporary conservator of her daughter's estate last month when her hospital stay was extended for another 30 days.
