"Ted 2" star Amanda Seyfried has joined David Lynch's TV series "Twin Peaks" revival.
The 29-year-old "Veronica Mars" alum has landed a major role on the continuation of the 1990s series, but details of her characters are still kept under wraps, reported Ace Showbiz.
Seyfried would be playing a pivotal new character and has apparently been booked for multiple episodes.

The new "Twin Peaks" series will consist of 18 episodes which all are written by co-creators Lynch and Mark Frost.
Lynch is also directing all episodes of the revival which is set in the present day and promises to "continue the lore of the original series."
Filming is currently underway in Washington state with original cast members Kyle MacLachlan, Sheryl Lee, Dana Ashbook and Sherilyn Fenn returning to reprise their roles.
No premiere date is announced for the new series yet.
Seyfried was a series regular on "As the World Turns" from 1999 until 2001. She recently starred in "While We're Young" and will be next seen in "Pan".
