Saaniya Sharma carded two-under 70 to take the second position with a total score of 145 after the second round. The Rs 7,00,000 event will culminate tomorrow.

Amandeep carded three birdies on the fifth, eighth and ninth holes, while dropping two shots on the fourth and sixth holes in her front nine.

However, the professional from Chandigarh grew in confidence and played without a blemish on her return journey.

She fired four birdies on the 11th, 13th, 15th and 18th holes to finish with a total score of 139.

Amandeep has a big lead of six shots going into the final round and will be eyeing her third title of the season, and her second back to back win after KGA.

Chandigarh's Saaniya and local girl Sharmila Nicollet are tied for the second position with identical totals of 145.

Saaniya made a fantastic comeback, climbing up the ladder to tie for second position. In the front nine, Saaniya carded the lone birdie on the fourth hole. She added two more birdies on the 12th and 13th holes, while dropping a single shot on the 10th to finish the round with a score of two-under 70.

Sharmila, on the other hand, had a shaky start, carding two bogeys on the first and seventh holes with an equal number of double bogeys on the third and ninth holes. Two birdies on the fourth and sixth holes helped to control the damage.

However, she regained the momentum and played with much more control in the latter half. She added three birdies on the 12th, 17th and 18th holes, while dropping a single shot on the 10th to finish the round with a score of two-over 74.

Local girl Trisha Sunil, Delhi's Vani Kapoor and Kolkata's Neha Tripathi are all tied fourth with a total score of 146 after 36 holes.

Pune's Shweta Galande is placed seventh with a total score of 149, followed by Delhi's Mehar Atwal at eighth position with 151 and Bengaluru's Nikki Ponappa at ninth with a total score of 153.
