Actress and MP Jayaprada has expressed happiness over Rahul Gandhi's visit to her constituency, saying he should visit the entire country to spread message of Congress, triggering speculation about her party Rashtriya Lok Manch's merger with Congress.

The Rampur MP told reporters here last evening that Rashtriya Lok Manch, floated by Amar Singh, will soon merge with a political outfit.

"Lok Manch is Amar Singh's organisation and he will soon declare regarding its merger with some other political outfit," she said.

The parliamentarian expressed happiness over Rahul's recent visit to Rampur, and said, "general elections are very close and it shall not be advisable to delay Lok Manch's merger".

She also said,"Rahul Gandhi should visit the entire country and disseminate the message of his party."

In the last week of April, Jayaprada had met Congress chief Sonia Gandhi. "I am returning to AP politics and I will soon announce which party I will join," she had said.

During the previous UP Assembly polls, Rashtriya Lok Manch drew a blank as none of its 360 candidates was able to win any seat.

In January 2010, Amar Singh had resigned as general secretary of Samajwadi Party, as well as from its parliamentary board and as its spokesperson, following differences with the party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav.

Jayaprada was elected to Lok Sabha twice from Rampur but subsequently walked out of the SP along with Amar Singh.
