Amara Raja Batteries Q2 net down 6.7 pc to Rs 127 cr

Amara Raja Batteries today reported a 6.67 per cent dip in net profit at Rs 127.22 crore for the September quarter of the current fiscal.

The company had reported a net profit of Rs 136.32 crore in July-September period a year ago, Amara Raja makers of Amaron Batteries said in a BSE filing.

Total income of the company was down 5.27 per cent to Rs 1,439.73 crore during the quarter under review, as against Rs 1,519.94 crore in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal.

Amara Raja's total expenses in the second quarter of the current fiscal were down 5.76 per cent to Rs 1,249.01 crore, as against Rs 1,325.43 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
 

Shares of Amara Raja Batteries were trading 6.61 per cent higher at Rs 727.60 apiece on BSE today.
