Amara Raja Batteries Q3 net grows 33 pc to Rs 136 cr

Amara Raja Batteries today reported a 33.06 per cent rise in its stand-alone net profit at Rs 136.18 crore for the quarter ended December 2015.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 102.34 crore in the same period a year ago, Amara Raja Batteries said in a statement.

Stand-alone net sales also rose to Rs 1,224.75 crore for the quarter under consideration as against Rs 1,059.20 crore a year earlier.

In a filing to BSE, Amara Raja Batteries said Bruce A Ronning Jr representing Johnson Controls Inc has resigned as director from the board of the company with effect from February 1, 2016, consequent on his resignation from the services of JCI.

The stock today closed at Rs 861.45 on BSE, down 1.69 per cent.
