Former Chief Minister and Congress candidate from Amritsar, Capt Amarinder Singh today exhorted people to vote without fear on April 30 and ensure that their voice is heard in the Parliament.
He claimed that cabinet ministers Bikram Singh Majithia (SAD) and Anil Joshi (BJP) were enough to ensure BJP candidate Arun Jaitley's defeat from Amritsar seat.
"Anger and resentment against them (Majithia and Joshi) is so much that Jaitley does not need more enemies," he said.

He also struck an emotional chord with the people of Raja Sansi here recalling his personal association with the place, as his daughter Jai Inder Kaur is married to Gurpal Singh, the grandson of noted Major Harinder Singh Raja Sansi.
The Congress leader was addressing a public meeting organised by the local MLA Sukh Sarkaria here.
He assured them that the Parliamentary elections are held under the direct supervision of the Election Commission and so there is no possibility of anybody intimidating them.
Amarinder said, Raja Sansi is an example of courage and people of Raja Sansi have always stood by the Congress, adding that he was aware of the problems of the people living in the border area.
He also said that if elected he would take up the case of farmers whose land falls outside the fence which has led to substantial losses for them and favoured special package for the border areas.
Besides, he added, there were other problems like unemployment coupled with the drug addiction and the drug trafficking "patronised" by the Akalis.
"Even they promised free power for 8 hours is in the name only," he said, while adding, he was told that the electricity is not even supplied for two hours.
