Former Punjab Chief Minister and Congress leader Amarinder Singh today demanded a high-level probe into the alleged misuse of a secret intelligence unit by ex-Army Chief General V K Singh, saying the charges were "quite serious".

The Congress leader also asked Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal to clarify his stand on the issue and the former Army Chief's bid to block the elevation of present chief Gen Bikram Singh just because "he belonged to a particular community".
