With the beginning of Amarnath pilgrimage inching closer, Jammu and Kashmir Governor was today apprised by the state government about the security and other arrangements for the 55-day religious voyage.
JK Minister of State for Home Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo and Director General of Police Ashok Prasad today met Governor N N Vohra and discussed various issues related to internal security in the state, an official spokesman said.
Security and traffic arrangements for the yatra, scheduled to begin from June 28, were also discussed during the hour-and-a-half long meeting.
The pilgrimage will conclude on August 21.
