The tournament has been divided into two parts -- the team events and the individual contests -- to determine the national champion, the organisers said today.

"For over 10 years, it's been a tradition to invite foreign participants for this tournament. We have had in the past a national champion who is from another country," Indian Golf Union (IGU) council member Jaydeep Chitlangia said.

Being the hosts, India will field three teams along with participation from five countries as the tournament will tee off with the International Team Trophy for next two days as it would also act as qualifying-cum-seeding exercise.

In all, 70 players will join the fray in the individual competition, beginning on January 10. And then 32 will compete in the match play format with the summit clash scheduled to be held on January 13 over a 36-whole contest.

Teams:

India A: Simarjeet Singh, Karan Taunk.

India B: Udayan Mane, Gagan Verma.

India C: Samarth Dwivedi, Syed Saqib Ahmed.

Bhutan: Tshendra Dorji, Dechen Ugyen.
