Organisation 'Ambar Bharari' will hold the 'Ambarnath Marathi Film Festival' here in Ambarnath area from October 30 to November 2, its founder Sunil Chaidhari said.
Chaidhari, a former Shiv Sena leader, said in the last few years Ambarnath has grown in terms of promoting arts and culture and many artists working in the film and television industry belong to this place.
During the festival, entries from films released in 2014-15, short films, documentaries have been invited.

A panel of judges will scrutinise the entries between October 16-26 and select nine films that will be screened at the festival, he said.
Three movies will be screened in one day. The nominations for the Cinema Awards would be declared on October 27 and award ceremony would be held November 2 at Ambarnath.
Minister Eknath Shinde, actor Aadesh Bandekar, MLA Gulabrao Patil, Shiv Sena leader Gopal Landge and others will attend the inaugural ceremony of the festival.
