Ambulance carrying six injured kids hits bike; three get hurt

A private school bus today overturned injuring 13 students and the driver near Etawa town of the district and the ambulance carrying the seriously hurt collided with a motorcycle resulting in injury to three more persons.

The already injured persons were not hurt further, they said.

The private school bus had overturned today after due to a technical glitch injuring 13 students and the bus driver, near Etawa town of the district.

Six of the injured students and the driver were referred to Kota for further precautionary treatment, following which the ambulance carrying them rammed into the tree near Khywada village of the district, Devkaran, a police personnel at Budhadete police station said.
 

The ambulance driver Om Prakesh (36), male nurse Vikalp Gautam and motorcycle rider Mukesh Kumar (28) sustained injuries in the incident, he said adding the other already injured in the vehicle remained further unhurt.

All the injured were referred to MBS hospital, Kota after first aid at Sultanpur community health centre, Devkaran said adding Mukesh Kumar is reported to be in critical condition.

Two of the injured are undergoing treatment at emergency ward while the male nurse and the other seven already injured in the ambulance are reported to have been admitted in private hospitals, a police official from MBS police check post said.

Earlier in the morning, bus of Madhav Bal Senior Secondary school had overturned when vehicle's steering wheel failed to work due to some technical glitch.

The 12th standard students were on Geography survey tour from the school at the time of the incident, police added.

The investigation in to the matter is still underway and a case in this connection would also be lodged after the receipt of complaint from parents or school management, said Station House Officer, Pipalda police station, Bharat Singh.
