Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta has condemned AAP government for tabling the Delhi School Education (Amendment) Bill 2015, in the House, saying that it will "destroy" education system and pave way for "exploitation" of teachers and guardians in the national capital.

"Such large scale anti-education amendments were not expected from the party which came to power in the name of serving interests of common man. BJP will oppose it at all levels," said Gupta.

He appealed to the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his Deputy Manish Sisodia to make necessary changes in the amendments in larger public interest.

"The proposed amendments through change in Section 10(1) will legalise exploitation of teachers in private schools," he said, adding that it "seemed" the amendments were influenced by managements of schools.

The Committee proposed to be set up to inquire into complaints against schools will act only when 20 guardians will do so while earlier a single parent could lodge his complaint, he said.

The amendments will also open a legal way for hiking fees and the guardians of students will have to bear the burden, he said.
