The Amethi district administration has been asked to take action against various officials with regard to laxity in development work.

Divisional commissioner, Faizabad, Vishal Chauhan today directed the district administration of Amethi to lodge FIR against project manager of CNDC Raebareli and to issue show cause notices to 7 concerned officials including District Excise officer, Regional Transport officer, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Executive Engineer of Rural Engineering Services for laxity in development work in the district.

Chauhan, the Nodal Officer for development work of Amethi district, was here on day-long visit.

Reviewing the status of development in the district on the premises of collectorate at Gauriganj, the district headquarter of Amethi, Chauhan expressed his displeasure over the ongoing work.

He asked the concerned officials to complete all the pending works within scheduled time maintaining the norms and standard set by the government.

It may be mentioned that despite the allotment of the fund the concerned institution (CNDC, Raebareli) could not even start the construction of primary health centres at Bhetua and Bazar Shukul.

Later, accompanied by district magistrate Jagat Raj Tripathi, SP Hira Lal and others, he visited CHC, Jamo, where five doctors (two permanent and two agreement based and a para medical employee) were found absent.

He immediately directed the DM to deduct one day salary of the absent doctors and others issuing a show cause notice.
