The district electricity committee today sent a proposal of Rs 10 crore to the Centre for uninterrupted power supply in Amethi and Musafirkhana nagar panchayats here.
Detailing about the proposal, Bharat Singh , Executive Engineer, power distribution section of Amethi district noted that a sum of Rs 4 crore and Rs 6 crore have been proposed for bringing in drastic change in the power supply system of Amethi and Musafirkhana nagar panchayats respectively.
The proposal has been made under the scheme of Integrated Power Development System (IPDS) that also include establishment of new power sub-centres, lessening line-loss, cent per cent metering and billing according to consumption based on meter reading in the above areas, he said.

Singh added that the proposal was today sent to central government by Zila Vidyut Samiti (District Electricity Committee) of Amethi.
A resolution regarding the same was passed by the committee on September 15 in the presence of AICC vice-president and Amethi MP Rahul Gandhi.
Rahul Gandhi's representative Chandra Kant Dubey said that the Congress leader is very careful regarding all-round development of his parliamentary constituency and was pleased with the proposal.
