Two persons allegedly committed suicide in separate parts of Amethi district, police said today.
Amar Singh alias Pintu, a resident of Mardanpur village, was found hanging from a ceiling fan at his house last night, SHO Bazar Shukul said.
The cause of his death is yet to be ascertained, he added.
In a separate case, the body of a man was found hanging from a mango tree at Korari Girdhar Shah village in the district, SHO, Amethi, said, adding that the deceased was identified as Ram Kishun Saroj (55) of the same village.
Both the bodies were sent for post-mortem, police said.
