Lalit Modi's lawyer and deputy president of the Rajasthan Cricket Association Mahmood Abdi today emphatically denied the claims of Amin Pathan led anti-faction that the former IPL boss has been removed from the president's post.
"These are cheap tricks being played by N Srinivasan and his cronies to destabilize the RCA but they won't be successful in their bid. We will be taking strongest possible action against Amin Pathan, who is a turncoat. Look at him. Five months back, there were pictures of him carrying Modi's poster after he won the elections and today, he claims to be the acting president," Abdi told PTI today.
Abdi, who is also Modi's legal counsel, alleged that claims made by Pathan-group are false.

"A lot of people who represented the district units were unauthorized members. Also how in the world did they hold a meeting which was not held in the RCA premises and at a altogether different location. What was the need to hold the meeting clandestinely. These are handful of disgruntled people, who are trying to play it into the hands of Srinivasan and co. But they won't be successful," Abdi added.
