Amira rice ties up with Snapdeal.Com for e-retailing

Basmati rice firm Amira Pure Foods today announced its partnership with Snapdeal.Com for e-retailing its premium range of Basmati rice at a national level.

The company, an Indian subsidiary of the NYSE-listed Amira Nature Foods Ltd, is the first premium packaged basmati rice brand to be available on the internet through organised retail, Amira Pure Foods said in a statement.

"We predict a paradigm shift in the behavioural pattern of

our target consumers. With internet penetration in India about to grow exponentially, we see consumers increasingly adopting e-commerce for even luxury FMCG items such as premium Basmati," Chairman of the Amira Group Karan Chanana said in a statement.
 

The company is offering its wide range of Basmati rice products on Snapdeal.Com includes Amira extra long grain basmati rice, Amira traditional basmati rice, Amira Guru extra long grain basmati rice, Amira guru everyday basmati rice and others.

The gourmet of basmati rice range starts from Rs 209 per kg and will be available in different pack sizes.
