Amit Rohidas to lead junior hockey team for European tour

Amit Rohidas will lead an 18-member Indian junior men squad in the European tour from May 23-June 5 in preparation for the World Cup to be held here at the end of the year.

The team will play a total of six matches, including two matches against Belgium on 25 and 26 May, three matches against The Netherlands on May 28, 29 and June 1, and one match against Germany on June 4.

Hockey India selectors Col Balbir Singh, B P Govinda, High Performance Director Roelant Oltmans, Foreign Coach of U-21 Gregg Clark and coach Baljeet Singh Saini alongwith government observer Harbinder Singh selected the squad.
 

Forward Malak Singh will be the vice-captain of the side.

Squad: Goalkeepers - Sushant Tirkey, Harjot Singh

Defenders - Gagandeep Singh, Gurjinder Singh, Jarmanpreet Singh, Surender Kumar, Amit Rohidas, Pardeep Mor

Midfielders - Harjit Singh, Devindar Walmiki, Satbir Singh, Stanli Minz, Prabhdeep Singh

Forwards - Malak Singh, Lalit Upadhyay, Talwinder Singh, Ramandeep Singh, PL Thimmanna.
