BJP president Amit Shah today extended greetings for 'Chhat' festival, and hoped that it will bring happiness, prosperity and peace for the countrymen.
"I heartily greet all the countrymen on the occasion of 'Chhat'. I hope the Sun God will fulfil all their wishes and infuse fresh energy in their lives and grant them good health, happiness and prosperity," Shah said in his message.
'Chhat' is an ancient Hindu festival dedicated to the Sun God and is performed to thank the God for sustaining life on earth.
The Sun is considered as the God of energy and is worshipped during the festival to promote well-being, prosperity, development and progress.
