To chalk out key strategies to take on the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) in Odisha, BJP president Amit Shah will visit the state for three days in April, a senior party leader said here today.
"Our party president Amit Shah will spend three days in the state in April. Though his detailed tour programme is not yet finalised, now we can say that Shahji will meet booth level leaders during his three-day visit to the state," BJP legislature party leader K V Singhdeo told reporters outside the assembly.
Stating that Odisha is in focus of the BJP, Singhdeo said: "The party had held several meetings in booth level in Uttar Pradesh ahead of elections. And now see the result. Shah's focus will be on booths."

Meanwhile, sources in BJP said Shah will hold multiple rallies and chair important meeting with the State party leaders.
This apart, Shah would hold discussions to chalk out key strategies to take on Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and Naveen Patnaik, whose government has been ruling the state continuously for 17 years.
Shah will also thank the party workers and leaders for the BJP's success in the recently concluded panchayat elections where the party captured 297 Zilla Parishad seats and formed Zilla Parishad in eight district, they said.
With visit of Shah in April, BJP will start preparation for the 2019 general elections, they said.
