Amitabh Bachchan dubs a tribute for KA Abbas centenary

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan says he has dubbed a tribute for the 100th birth anniversary of late filmmaker K A Abbas, who was born in June, 1914.

The 71-year-old actor forayed into Bollywood with Abbas' 1969 film 'Saat Hindustani'.

"Started day at 7:30 am... Dubbed for a tribute to KA Abbas, for his centenary... KA Abbas who gave me my first film !," Bachchan wrote on Twitter.

The legendary filmmaker who passed away at the age of 72, in 1987, co-wrote the screenplays of some of Raj Kapoor's classics like, 'Awara', 'Shree 420' and 'Bobby' among others.

Abbas also directed films like 'Saat Hindustani' and 'Aaj Aur Kal' among others.
