Students of Amity International School at Vasundhara and Army Public School of Noida today won the Ghaziabad and Noida rounds of the inter-school CBSE Cryptic Crossword Contest (CCCC) 2016 making it to the finals.
Shubham Ghosal and Archit Bansal of Amity International School and Vidush Goswami and Lehar Gupta of Army Public School were declared winners of the Ghaziabad and Noida rounds respectively, of the contest, according to the organisers.
While Sparsh Kasana and Apoorva of Khaitan Public School, Sahibabad became the runners-up in the Ghaziabad round, Yash Agarwal and Hardik Kharbanda of DPS Noida came second in the Noida round.

A total of 23 teams participated in the Ghaziabad round held at Amity International School whereas the Noida round, which was held at Army Public School at Sector 37, saw 15 school teams vying for the ticket to the Grand Finale.
With these two rounds, the NCR lap of the contest is over.
The CCCC 2016 was launched at DPS, Ranchi on April 18 following an April 5 circular by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) along with its nationwide schedule.
The contest will be held across 37 cities and towns in India. The winners from these rounds will then converge in the national capital for the year-end Grand Finale.
The contest is into its third year. The CCCC 2015 saw participation from about 800 schools across the country.
