Five men, who had abducted two BBA students of Amity for ransom, have been sent to police custody.

A District and Sessions court yesterday granted the custody of the five men to the police.

While one of the accused had surrendered at the court yesterday, the four others were earlier arrested by Uttar Pradesh special task force and Noida Police.

The five men had kidnapped the students on April 30 and later released them after their parents allegedly paid a ransom of Rs 85 lakh.

After their questioning, sleuths recovered Rs 28 lakh ransom money, a SIM card and a mobile phone used for making extortion calls.
